We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in San German where one of their biggest challengersLeones (11-10) were defeated by fifth ranked Atleticos (9-13) 90-78 on Thursday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Andre Curbelo (183-2001, college: Southern Miss) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and New Zealand forward Sam Mennenga (206-2001, college: Davidson) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Darius Bazley (206-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San German maintains fifth position with 9-13 record. Loser Leones keeps the fourth place with ten games lost.
